Software Development Engineer in Test

Job Description:

As an SDET 2, you will take a leadership role in ensuring the quality and performance of our applications through advanced automated testing. You will be responsible for designing and implementing comprehensive test strategies, mentoring junior team members, and leading initiatives to continuously improve our testing framework and processes. You will work across teams to deliver a seamless, bug-free experience to millions of users worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and execution of advanced automated test frameworks for web and mobile applications.

Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand technical requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

Write test scripts using advanced automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Appium, and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

Perform load, performance, and scalability testing, ensuring the applications can handle high traffic and usage.

Conduct code reviews for test automation scripts and provide feedback to junior team members.

Investigate and troubleshoot complex issues, working with developers to resolve bugs and improve code quality.

Lead initiatives to enhance test coverage and performance through the use of the latest tools and best practices.

Mentor and support junior SDETs, sharing best practices and driving a culture of quality.

Requirements:

Must-Have:

Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an SDET, with strong expertise in test automation.

Automation Tools: In-depth experience with tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, and performance testing tools like JMeter.

Programming: Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Python, Java, or similar programming languages.

CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD environments using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

Advanced Testing: Expertise in testing techniques such as load testing, performance testing, and security testing.

API Testing: Hands-on experience with API testing using tools like Postman, SoapUI, or Rest-Assured.

Leadership: Proven ability to mentor and lead junior team members in QA practices.

Nice to Have:

Mobile Testing: Extensive experience in mobile test automation using Appium or similar tools.

Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS or Azure for scalable test infrastructure.

Monitoring & Reporting: Experience with monitoring and reporting tools like Grafana or New Relic.
