Position: Software Development Engineer in Test - 2

Team: Quality Assurance(QA)

Base Location: Pune

Probation Period: 3 Months

Role Overview:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Automation Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will:

• Be proficient in creating and maintaining test scripts.
• Be passionate about delivering high-quality software products.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure the robustness and performance of our applications.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Experience: 4+ Years of Proven work experience automating test cases for web applications.
• Must have experience in creating different testing strategies and plans.
• Proficiency with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG or similar.
• Experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, CircleCI or GitLab CI/CD.
• Deep understanding of REST APIs and Web Applications.
• Extensive experience in designing and implementing automated test frameworks.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience with API testing tools.
• ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Automation Development:

• Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for various applications.
• Identify test cases suitable for automation and enhance the existing automation framework.

Test Execution and Reporting:

• Execute automated tests, analyze results and report findings to the development team.
• Generate comprehensive test reports and documentation.

Framework and Tooling:

• Maintain and improve existing test automation frameworks and tools.
• Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to enhance test automation.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with developers and product manager to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Participate in design and code reviews to understand feature requirements and identify automation opportunities.

Continuous Improvement:

• Continuously improve the efficiency and coverage of automated tests.
• Stay updated with the latest industry and best practices in test automation.

Defect Management:

• Track, report and manage defects in a timely manner.
• Work closely with the development team to ensure defects are resolved efficiently.
