You ll spend time on the following:
You will design and develop backend applications for the Groupon microservice ecosystem
You will collaborate with teams in other organisation to ensure that required business features are implemented effectively
Build service artifacts, plan deployment, coordinate timeline and tasks with project management and teams
Improve service stability by identifying critical service-specific metrics, setting meaningful alerting thresholds, and automating alerting responses
Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
Drive the discussion and decisions of technical topics related to the team
We re excited about you if you have:
BE/BTech or ME/MTech degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
7+ years of industry experience
Excellent coding skills in one or more programming languages like Java, C++, Python, etc
Strong computer science fundamentals (Design Patterns, DS & Algos, Operating Systems)
Solid knowledge of relational databases like MySQL, Postgres, etc
Understanding of NoSql databases is an added advantage
Nice to have hands-on experience in SPARK
You should have experience developing and supporting web applications and supporting and troubleshooting internal and external requests/bug reports in a transactional environment
Experience with building tools such as Maven, Ant, Ivy, Griddle
Strong debugging skills
Good communication and collaboration skills
