We are currently looking for a talented software Engineer with expertise in Cloud solutions to join Oracle's Hospitality Integration Platform Team.
Our team is located under the HGBU division and our products facilitate the connection between end user solutions and Hospitality systems. This integration platform built on Oracle technologies is central to the company strategy. Using continuous integration and automated testing the team always looks to use the latest techniques to improve product quality. We work in a team that collaborates on common problems across our products and focus areas. Responsibilities
- Provides significant contribution and oversight to the design and development of HGBU integration solutions
- Delivers high quality products and ensures that best practices and sound engineering principals are applied in all phases of the software development life cycle
- Tasks include writing functional specifications, design documentation, coding, unit testing, debugging, integration, performance tuning, of software modules
- Works closely with documentation, testing and support groups to ensure success of all aspects of the software development process
- Possesses sufficient knowledge to constructively challenge current practices or approaches; identifies trends that have impact on work unit, or products and articulates implications to upper management
- Has the ability to gain working knowledge of other ORACLE departments and how these areas can benefit his/her area
- Provides training and mentorship to less experienced software engineers including code reviews
Qualifications/Required Experience
- BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of prior software development experience.
- Experience in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
- Experience in Cloud development using Kubernetes and Docker
- Expert level competency in Java programming (or similar)
- Experience with microservice architectures
- Experience with using Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
- Expertise in API design and integration solutions
Preferred Experience
- Experience with API management solutions particularly Oracle APIP
- Experience in front end development using JavaScript (Oracle OJET in particular)
- Experience with the Oracle database
- OCI, AWS or other Cloud certifications
- Experience within the Hospitality Industry.
- Interest in all aspects of research and development.
