Full Stack Software Engineer

CTPO Study Startup unit is the industry leader in cloud-based study startup software for the global Life Sciences industry, offering the only complete end-to-end platform for starting clinical trials, from site identification, feasibility assessment and selection through to activation, with comprehensive metrics to track adherence to timelines and budget.
Our Opportunity
The Full Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for developing SaaS platform and applications in Oracle's Health Sciences Global Business Unit (HSGBU). This person will work independently and perform at a senior level to help build out our technology platform using technologies like Ruby on Rails, Node.js and SPA frameworks like Preact and OJet.
You'll work with a solid engineering team that is passionate about building the first study startup platform of its kind for our pharmaceutical clients. You must be willing to collaborate and help others on the team as necessary, and be a solid team player. This position is an individual contributor (no direct reports).
What you'll do
Advance the state of the art in building SaaS product with Ruby on Rails, Node.js and OJet.
- Full stack development of SaaS enterprise applications, which streamline workflow processes in an important industry.
- Work with other top-notch engineers, PMs and QA specialists.
- Operate as a member of the CTPO SSU agile development team. Skills you have
- Minimum of 3 years experience
- Full-stack development experience
- Multiple years of experience with dynamic language web dev frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, Django or Grails
- Experience with backend server applications using Node.js
- Demonstrable experience building web components using technologies like Preact, OJet and JavaScript
- Strong data modeling and SQL skills.
- Proven experience with unit testing and test frameworks.
- Git or similar distributed SCM tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrable expertise and recent experience with the following is a plus:
- Enterprise SaaS architectures
- Service-oriented architectures
- Familiarity with cloud-based deployments

As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
