We are a centralized Quality Engineering organization with increased focus on Automation, Quality, Stability and Scalability of Oracle Life Sciences Clinical One Cloud Service product releases. The Quality Engineering Organization is responsible for Functional, Integration, security testing, end-to-end integration testing, Automation, and OCI/MCS readiness for Life Sciences Clinical One Cloud Service product line. This team works with Product Management, Development, Services, and Support to understand the requirements, deployment environments, and use case scenarios to enable them to successfully design, deploy, and test. Oracle is looking for a Senior Applications Engineer in Test to be part of automation group in Bengaluru/Hyderabad, India, who will provide automated UI regression testing support that ensure the quality and deliverables for Oracle Life Sciences Clinical One Cloud Service product line.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with teams to understand requirements and functional flow(s)
- Create, maintain, execute and provide analysis of new and existing automated UI regression suites.
- Recommend and influence the quality strategy required to support lean and robust automation testing.
- Coordinate testing project management by contributing task definitions and estimates for automation project plans and preparing Automation progress reports
- Review merge requests and provide constructive feedback.
- Perform project tasks and solve problems with little or no assistance and guidance
- Serve as a mentor for one or more lower-level staff.
- Passionate for continuous learning, experimenting, and applying cutting edge technology and software paradigms.
- Continues learning of technology and standards, actively stay abreast of trends and standards, recommend best practices and share learning.
- Share knowledge of Automation practices with others through both informal interaction and formal training
- Collaborate closely with all stakeholders on assigned projects.
Core Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience relevant to functional area
- Minimum of 5+ years of software engineering or related experience
- Proficiency with wide range of automation tools and technologies: Selenium, Node.js, JavaScript, TestNG, Jenkins, JSON, SQL
- Solid knowledge in automating REST APIs
- Solid experience working with Databases such as Oracle DB (19.x +)
- Good knowledge of Docker and K8s infrastructure
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN).
- Experience using Agile Jira, TestRail, bug tracking tool(s)
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of functional automation.
- Demonstrate outstanding written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to dive in and learn complex systems.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, changing environment
- Demonstrate excellent analytical skills with ability to recognize and articulate deviations and participate in the excellence of ongoing process improvements.
- Candidate must demonstrate the ability to work both independently and, in a team-oriented collaborative environment.
