As part of the social media team, the person will handle the day-to-day posting of all Newslaundry content over different social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and LinkedIn).
The person will also be responsible for leveraging social media platforms to promote our reportage, video shows, podcasts, and events such as The Media Rumble , and subscription campaigns.
Requirements
Strong communication skills as you will be required to coordinate with our editorial, production, design and events teams
An understanding of reader-supported media and how it works
Open to working on flexible schedules and tight deadlines
Responsibilities
Handle the day-to-day posting on our social media platforms
Come up with innovative ideas of how we can target more audiences with the existing content
Basic knowledge of editing videos and podcasts for promotions
Sense of SEO and adept with using Google Analytics, CrowdTangle, and Canva.
