Position Overview

Byko Journeys is looking for an innovative Social Media & Content Manager to lead and evolve our digital and social media strategy. We want a self-starter capable of producing the wow factor and engaging Byko's huge support with exciting, eye-catching concepts from ideation to execution.

Our candidate will be a creative thinker with cutting-edge ideas and a track record of delivering imaginative, attention-grabbing social media campaigns which drive commercial outcomes.

You must be well-versed in engaging website content creation, social media trends, audience data analysis, the digital platform features & optimization, and have a desire and ability to positively disrupt the travel industry.

Responsibilities

As a social media manager, you'll need to:

  • Develop creative and engaging social media strategies
  • Manage the day-to-day handling of all social media channels such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube, adapting content to suit different channels
  • Create engaging multimedia content (and/or outsource this effectively) across multiple platforms
  • Develop, launch and manage new competitions and campaigns that promote your organization and brand
  • Form key relationships with influencers across the social media platforms
  • Undertake audience research
  • Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions
  • Monitor, track, analyze and report on performance on social media platforms using tools such as Google Analytics and Facebook insights
  • Research and evaluate the latest trends and techniques in order to find new and better ways of measuring social media activity
  • Analyze competitor activity
  • Recommend improvements to increase performance
  • Set targets to increase brand awareness and increase customer engagement
  • Manage a budget for social media activities
  • Encourage collaboration across teams and departments

Requirement :

- Any Graduate / Post Graduate

- 1-year experience as a Social Media Executive or as a Digital Media Specialist

- Expert knowledge of all leading social media sites, including their algorithm.

- Flexible and engaging writing style.

- Willingness to work occasional overtime.

- Willingness to keep up to date with social media trends.

- Basic knowledge of applications for content creation.
