Snowflake DBA/ Azure Admin

In this role, you will:

Administer and Optimize Snowflake: Manage the Snowflake environment, including performance tuning, query optimization, and ensuring data security and compliance. Regularly monitor and fine-tune Snowflake performance using SQL and Explain Plans.

Monitor and Manage Costs: Track and analyze Snowflake and Azure costs, providing detailed cost reports and forecasts. Implement strategies to optimize resource utilization and reduce costs.

Maintain High Availability and Reliability: Ensure the Snowflake environment is highly available and reliable. Plan and implement infrastructure capacity strategies to handle high availability scenarios.

Data Security and Compliance: Implement and manage security protocols to protect sensitive data. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Collaborate on Auto Scaling Solutions: Work with infrastructure and engineering teams to develop robust auto-scaling solutions for database environments.

Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor the performance of data systems and troubleshoot any issues that arise. Implement best practices for database maintenance and optimization. Collaborate with engineering teams on SQL/DDL and optimization efforts.

Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and DevOps, to ensure the smooth operation of data systems. Communicate effectively to provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

Documentation and Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and best practices. Provide training and support to team members on Snowflake and cost management practices.

Participate in Code Reviews: Review SQL queries and provide feedback to ensure efficiency and optimization.
