Job Description

  • Administer, monitor, and optimize the Snowflake environment, ensuring high performance, availability, and security.
  • Implement best practices for Snowflake architecture, including data modeling, database design, and query optimization.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes using Snowflake.
  • Manage Snowflake roles, users, and permissions to ensure data security and compliance with organizational policies.
  • Leverage enterprise LDAP accounts to manage access control and permissions within each individual product.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Snowflake configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Snowflake-related issues, providing technical support to end-users and stakeholders.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of queries, stored procedures, and data models.
  • Provide technical solutions for disaster recovery, backup, data sharing, and data replication.
  • Stay up-to-date with Snowflake features and capabilities, evaluating and implementing enhancements as needed.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate Snowflake with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Assist in capacity planning and cost management for Snowflake resources.
  • Work on critical incidents and user service requests and be responsible for SLA adherence, tracking, and reporting.
  • Train and mentor team members on Snowflake best practices and usage.
Qualifications:
  • SnowPro Advanced Administrator (required).
  • 3+ years of experience in Snowflake administration or data engineering.
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 5 years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with Snowflakes query performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with ETL tools and data integration processes.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and data security principles.
  • Experience with disaster recovery and backup solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
