Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Site Manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence, ensuring health and safety, and exceeding customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Health And Safety

  • Ensure the effective implementation of the Company Health and Safety Policy.
  • Maintain compliance with all statutory obligations, as detailed in the Arriva HS&E Management System.

Customer Service

  • Deliver exceptional service in line with stakeholder needs and company standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure timely resolution of complaints with actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Oversee the secure storage and management of lost property.

People Management

  • Foster an organisational culture that reflects Arriva's values and promotes Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I).
  • Lead, develop, and support site teams, ensuring they have the resources and skills to excel.
  • Engage and motivate colleagues through strong leadership and communication, driving high performance.
  • Build effective relationships with Trade Unions and other key stakeholders.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure compliance and deliver outstanding service through effective leadership.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to review networks and customer feedback.
  • Implement tools to enhance performance management and operational efficiency.

Financial Management

  • Support the development of annual budgets and business plans.
  • Drive revenue growth, control operating costs, and maximise profit.
  • Review financial performance and implement action plans to address shortfalls.

Innovation And Improvement

  • Continuously review operations to identify areas for innovation and improvement.
  • Act as a Change Agent, driving innovation and operational excellence.

Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Promote and uphold Arriva's values and reputation across all business activities.

What We're Looking For

  • Eligibility to become a Transport Manager on the Operator's Licence.
  • Proven management experience in an operational setting with P&L responsibility.
  • Strong background in working with Trade Unions and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Expertise in handling serious incidents and contingency planning.
  • A track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
  • Customer service experience, with a focus on satisfaction and dispute resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a safe, compliant, and continuously improving workplace.
