About The Role
The objective of this position is to manage on site TLS/DTH Orica teams, plant and ancillary equipment in accordance with the service level agreement, corporate and regulatory standards. The incumbent will be responsible for the implementation of the Orica SHES requirements, as well as complete adoption of CHECKPOINT, and Quality programs.
What you will be doing
- Actively oversee SHES programs to ensure compliance with Orica's Group Standards and Procedures.
- Proactively address safety and security concerns, ensure PPE is worn, and complete SHEC permits before any work begins on-site.
- Report any injuries, accidents, or significant incidents immediately.
- Communicate Oricas safety and security standards to employees, vendors, and customers, ensuring all equipment is in safe working condition.
- Conduct audits and inspections to verify compliance with regulatory requirements and review site safety management systems, procedures, and emergency plans annually.
- Lead SH&E improvement activities, aiming to reduce accidents, incidents, and near misses while improving safety performance.
- Recruit, train, and retain employees with key skills, ensuring performance evaluations are conducted regularly and the workforces talent is enhanced.
- Participate in planning activities and support operational improvements that meet fixed cost budgets and reduce operational costs.
- Maintain regular communication with customers, addressing needs, improving services, and managing accounts profitably.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by managing external agency audits and implementing corrective action plans as needed.
- Ensure all mandatory employee training is completed and documented, while managing and improving employee development plans.
- Oversee inventory management to enhance profitability, assist in budgeting, and ensure optimal resource and staffing levels.
What you will bring
- Minimum 3 years experience in management position with operations, and employee/customer.
- Ability to analyze/impact financial data utilizing SAP, and Resource Modelling.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, and the Internet.
- Organization, attentive to detail, time management and quality control.
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and other applicable regulations.
- Mechanical comprehension of operation/maintenance of equipment.
- Responsibility for Orica equipment and vehicles.
