Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated Site Safety Officer to join our team for the construction on a contract basis. The Site Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining Safety policies, programs, and procedures at the construction site. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of construction safety and have relevant work experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures for the construction site.
- Make and deliver regular safety training programs for employees and contractors onsite, conduct mock drills as per statutory requirements.
- Conduct inspection to identify hazards and its compliance.
- Investigate incidents/ accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain EHS documentation as per applicable regulatory requirements.
- Reporting observation for Unsafe Act, Unsafe Condition, Near-miss and accident and prepare RCA (Root Cause Analysis) for all.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma in any stream or graduation with Diploma in Safety Management (ADIS or PDIS) from recognised institution.
- Minimum of 02 years of experience as EHS Officer in industrial construction.
- Knowledge of construction safety.
- Knowledge of EHS regulations (BOCW RECS ACT) in India.
- Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis and other Safety Officer activities
- Strong written and verbal communication in English, Hindi and Marathi.
