Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Dialer Support Engineer with a strong background in configuring and maintaining Asterisk or Freeswitch systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the operations and configuration of SIP servers and call center dialers to ensure optimal performance and reliability in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in supporting dialer systems, troubleshooting issues, performing system configurations, and ensuring smooth communication between the dialer and telephony systems. If you have a passion for optimizing call center operations and have a solid understanding of VoIP technologies, this is the role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • SIP Server Configuration: Install, configure, and manage SIP servers to integrate seamlessly with call center systems. Ensure SIP trunking and communication flows are stable and reliable.
  • Asterisk/Freeswitch Expertise: Provide expert-level support for Asterisk or Freeswitch, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Dialer Configuration and Support: Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain outbound dialer systems for call centers, ensuring they operate efficiently and in compliance with performance requirements.
  • System Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor the performance of dialer systems, identify issues, and provide timely resolutions. Work proactively to prevent downtime and system outages.
  • Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other technical teams (e.g., network engineers, support engineers) to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth operations across all systems.
  • Performance Tuning: Analyze system performance and implement optimizations to enhance the efficiency of the dialer systems and ensure high call quality.
  • Documentation: Maintain clear and detailed documentation of dialer configurations, system updates, troubleshooting steps, and operational procedures.
  • User Support: Provide technical support to end-users and call center agents, including training and guiding them through best practices for using the dialer system.
  • Software Updates & Patches: Regularly update and patch dialer systems and associated software components to ensure the latest features, improvements, and security fixes are in place.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • SIP Server Configuration: Proficiency in the setup and management of SIP servers (such as FreePBX, Kamailio, or similar platforms).
  • Experience with Asterisk or Freeswitch: At least 5+ years of hands-on experience with Asterisk or Freeswitch systems, including configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Dialer Support Experience: Experience working with outbound dialers in a call center environment, including configuration, performance monitoring, and optimization.
  • VoIP and Networking Knowledge: Strong understanding of VoIP technologies (SIP, RTP, etc.), telephony hardware, and network protocols.
  • Telephony Integration: Experience integrating dialer systems with other telephony platforms, CRM systems, and databases.
  • Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex telephony-related issues.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Strong attention to detail for documenting configurations, procedures, and issue resolutions.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical team members. Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
