nAbout the role
nThe Business Analyst in the SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) space is responsible for gathering business requirements, supporting solution architects and developers, and driving the successful execution of various SIOP technology projects. This role sits at the intersection of business and technology, with responsibilities spanning requirements documentation, process optimization, and report building. The ideal candidate should have experience with SIOP KPIs and a proven ability to collaborate across teams while working independently.
nKey Responsibilities:
nAs a Business Analyst, you'll be responsible for:
nRequirements Gathering & Documentation:
nCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements for SIOP projects.
nCreate comprehensive
nBusiness Requirements Documents (BRDs) and functional specifications that accurately capture business needs.
nWork closely with solution architects and developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring alignment between business goals and system design.
nConduct process mapping and gap analysis to identify areas for improvement within the SIOP framework.
nTechno-Functional Support:
nAct as a key liaison between business users, solution architects, and developers to ensure requirements are clearly understood and effectively implemented.
nProvide functional and technical support during project design, development, and deployment phases.
nAssist in troubleshooting and resolving functional and technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.
nEnsure system configurations and customizations align with business processes and objectives.
nReport Building & Data Analysis:
nDevelop standard reports and dashboards to track key SIOP KPIs, including demand forecasting, inventory turnover, on-time delivery, and capacity utilization.
nEnsure reports provide actionable insights to improve decision-making and support continuous process improvement.
nWork with business stakeholders to identify additional reporting needs and build custom reports as necessary.
nEnsure the integrity, accuracy, and relevance of data within reports and analytics tools.
nSupport SIOP Projects:
nProvide hands-on support in executing SIOP technology initiatives across multiple projects, ensuring that solutions are delivered on time and within scope.
nCollaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., supply chain, finance, production) to ensure the solution meets the broader business objectives.
nParticipate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that the solutions meet business requirements and are fit for purpose.
nSupport project managers in monitoring project progress, timelines, and deliverables, providing regular updates on the status of business analysis activities.
nSIOP Process & KPI Expertise:
nApply understanding of SIOP processes to ensure solutions are aligned with best practices in demand planning, production scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain optimization.
nTrack and analyze SIOP KPIs, recommending improvements based on data-driven insights.
nAssist in the development and implementation of SIOP processes that are scalable and adaptable to evolving business needs.

nEngage with stakeholders at all levels to ensure their needs are met and that the solution delivers value.

nManage competing priorities effectively, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner without compromising quality.
nRequirements
nAs a minimum you must have:
n5-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in SIOP, supply chain, or related areas.
nStrong understanding of SIOP processes including demand planning, production planning, inventory management, and capacity planning.
nExperience building business requirements documents (BRDs) and functional specifications for technology projects.
nAbility to develop and support standard and custom reports using relevant reporting tools.
nKnowledge of SIOP KPIs and ability to build reports/dashboards that track and measure these metrics.
nTechno-functional expertise with the ability to understand both business processes and technical solutions.
nStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and work independently as a self-starter.
nExperience with SIOP technology platforms (e.g., Kinaxis, SAP IBP, Oracle, etc.).
nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to draw insights from data.
nKnowledge of project management methodologies and ability to support project managers.
nFamiliarity with SQL, Power BI, or other reporting/BI tools for report development.
nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
