Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Siemens S7 PLC Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various PLC programming languages, specifically Siemens S7, and possess in-depth knowledge of Clock settings, Profinet, IP Configuration, and other related protocols. Familiarity with pneumatic controls, digital inputs, motor controls, analog inputs, and other input protocols is essential. Experience in HMI configuration and familiarity with ATEX devices, including Zenner barrier and related hardware, is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain PLC programs using Siemens S7 programming language.
Configure and troubleshoot Clock settings, Profinet, IP Configuration, and other communication protocols within Siemens PLC systems.- Design and implement pneumatic controls, digital inputs, motor controls, analog inputs, and other input protocols as per project requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate PLC systems with HMI interfaces for efficient control and monitoring of industrial processes.
- Conduct testing and debugging of PLC programs to ensure functionality and reliability of automation systems.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations teams on PLC programming and system operation.- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in PLC programming and automation technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 6 -10+ years of hands-on experience in PLC programming, specifically with Siemens S7 PLC systems.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), and Structured Text (ST) for PLC applications.
- Strong understanding of Clock settings, Profinet, IP Configuration, and communication protocols within industrial automation environments.
- Expertise in designing and implementing pneumatic controls, digital inputs, motor controls, analog inputs, and other input protocols.
- Experience in configuring and troubleshooting HMI interfaces for visualization and control of PLC systems.
- Familiarity with ATEX directives and devices, including Zenner barriers and related hardware, is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
