Job Description

Gee Ess Tech Solutions is a leading job placement firm in Chennai, specializing in staffing services. Currently, we are hiring for Showroom Sales Manager for one of our branded eye wear opticals @ multiple locations across Tamil Nadu and Bangalore.

Job Summary:

A Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a retail store in the southern region. They will ensure smooth functioning of the store, achieve sales targets, and provide exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the store's daily operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.

  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and increase profitability.

  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing at all times.

  • Lead and supervise a team of employees, providing coaching and training as needed.

  • Monitor and analyze sales trends, customer preferences, and market competition to make informed decisions.

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, sales, and financial transactions.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and HR, to implement company policies and initiatives.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging customer needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business management or a related field.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing a retail store, preferably in the southern region.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and employees.

  • Analytical mindset, capable of making data-driven decisions and implementing effective strategies.

  • Proficient in using point-of-sale systems, inventory management software, and other retail tools.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of local market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities in the southern region.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
