Position: Short Term consultant as District Coordinator for Umang Scale UP Reports to: Sr. Officer- Program Quality
Key Responsibilities
- Stakeholder Mapping, prepare engagement plan, and execute the plan
- Liaising with district and block administration to ensure systemic support for project execution
- Ensure participation of district and block staff along with SRPs in State/ District ToT
- Facilitate to organize district level ToT of selected gender CRP and DRP on Umang modules
- Facilitate to organize cluster wise training of active women and gender CRP on Umang modules
- Prepare training reports and maintain database of the training.
- Ensure training quality in all the training.
- Work as a Resource Person for trainings as and when required.
- Quality assurance and support visit during the training of Active women by the trained DRPs at least for one day per batch in each cluster and sharing of feedback and redressal mechanism with all the DRPs in the written format as well as with DPM/DM/BPM.
- Quality assurance and supportive supervision visits in the meetings conducted by Gender CRP, DRP, and AW at CLF, VO, and SHG level.
- Take lead to organize CLF orientation workshops
- Take lead to organize VO Orientation workshops
- Ensure deployment of DRP, cadre below for Umang activities
- Orientation of DPM, DM, BPM, district & block MIS staff on Umang Swalekha
- Regularise project activities MIS entry in Umang Swalekha and its usage by BMMU and DMMU
- Periodic review and update sharing meetings with district and block administration as well as with JSLPS DMMU and BMMU
- Ensure preparation of adolescent girls list at each VO and regular tracking of same by respective VO members
- Collection and documentation of one case study with photograph per month.
- To take lead in organizing key days like Girl Child Day, 16 Days of Activism.
- Facilitate to organize training of helpdesk counsellors
- Setting up Adolescent Helpdesks in close coordination with Gender Justice Centre or any other helpdesks operational in respective districts
- Regularize helpdesk operations and support in maintaining timely online records at Helpdesk
- Take up any other assignment specified by the supervisor/ organization.
Qualification & Experience Essential:
- Master s degree in Rural Development/Social work/Sociology/Community Health/Psychology or a related field from a reputed university/ institute.
- More than 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience in capacity building and material development activities.
- Demonstrated experience of facilitating participatory trainings in the areas of women and girls empowerment at grassroots and school level.
- Demonstrated experience in implementation of development projects in the areas of women and girls empowerment at community level.
Preferred:
- Significant understanding of social structures and community level dynamics especially in education context in Jharkhand
- Knowledge of issues related to Gender, Adolescents Health/education and other issues, Child Marriage.
- Experience in a similar profile for a large International NGO/ UN Organization
- Hands-on experience of implementing and managing innovative counselling skills and group counselling.
