Job Description
We seek a skilled Shopify Developer with extensive experience in Shopify APIs, SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), and SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI). This role demands a strong technical background in Shopify development, with the ability to integrate Shopify stores with SAP and leverage both REST and GraphQL APIs. The successful candidate will play a key role in building, optimizing, and maintaining integrations that bridge Shopify and enterprise systems to support seamless e-commerce operations.
Responsibilities
- Shopify Development & Customization: Design, develop, and optimize Shopify themes and components, creating responsive and user-friendly e-commerce experiences tailored to business needs.
- API Integration: Utilize Shopify's REST and GraphQL APIs to build integrations between Shopify and external systems. Leverage SAP BTP and CPI to manage data flows across SAP and Shopify, ensuring robust communication and synchronization.
- Custom App Development: Create, deploy, and maintain custom Shopify applications that fulfill unique requirements, including custom features and workflows that align with SAP integration needs.
- Data Management & Synchronization: Handle data flows between Shopify, SAP, and connected systems, managing customer information, product inventory, orders, and fulfillment data in a streamlined manner.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and enhance Shopify store and integration performance to ensure stability, responsiveness, and high efficiency for users.
- Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution: Diagnose and resolve technical issues, integration errors, and data discrepancies related to Shopify, SAP, BTP, and CPI.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with other teams, including SAP specialists, designers, and e-commerce managers, to ensure technical solutions meet both operational and strategic business objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Shopify Development Experience: 3+ years of experience in developing and optimizing Shopify stores, including proficiency with Shopify's REST and GraphQL APIs.
- SAP BTP and CPI Knowledge: Experience working with SAP BTP and CPI, including API management, data modeling, and integration best practices.
- Strong Coding Skills: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid, and understanding of backend languages such as Node.js or Ruby. Familiarity with GraphQL queries and mutation structures.
- Experience with Integration Protocols: Knowledge of REST, SOAP, and OData for SAP and Shopify API integration.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent analytical skills with a proactive approach to identifying, diagnosing, and resolving integration and performance issues.
- Version Control: Experience using Git or similar version control systems to manage code and collaboration across teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- eCommerce & ERP Knowledge: Understanding of eCommerce and ERP processes, including order management, inventory, and fulfillment.
- SAP Integration Tools: Familiarity with SAP CPI, SAP API Management, and SAP Cloud Connector for managing data integration workflows between Shopify and SAP systems.
- Experience with Other eCommerce APIs: Knowledge of other APIs (e.g., payment gateways, logistics, and CRM) to enhance store functionality.
- Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and requirements to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
