Shopify is a leading ecommerce provider allowing merchants to create an online store. The Nivoda plugin allows Shopify merchants to add the global feed of diamonds directly to their own store.
Job Summary
We are building the next generation of the plugin leveraging the latest developer experience from Shopify to empower merchants to embed Nivoda directly into their online stores and create powerful journeys such as the ability to create custom jewelry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, experience with Shopify's ecosystem, and is driven to empower merchants with an improved online presence for their brand.
Core Competencies
- Technical Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in web development, with a focus on e-commerce platforms.
- JavaScript & TypeScript: Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for front-end and back-end development.
- GraphQL: Experience with GraphQL for efficient data querying and manipulation.
- Shopify Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Shopify's ecosystem, including the Shopify API, CLI, and app extensions.
Required Experience
- Engineering experience working directly on Shopify apps - has developed and shipped a Shopify app - familiarity on versioning the Shopify app from source control and CI/CD
- Engineering experience working directly on Shopify theme app extensions - has developed and shipped theme app extensions with app blocks - using the Shopify liquid templates
Preferred Experience
- Theme App Extension - has developed a wrapped app block that uses a JS asset to query and display data from an external data source
- Polaris - Understand of https://polaris.shopify.com/ foundations and components - helping to design a Polaris-first admin settings page for the Shopify plugin
- Fulfillment service - has developed a fulfillment service for a Shopify app
