Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Shopify Backend Developer with over 5 years of experience in developing, managing, and optimizing Shopify stores. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Shopify platform, a strong technical background, and a proven track record of delivering successful e-commerce projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom Shopify applications/Apps and integrations.
- Work with APIs to integrate third-party services and enhance store functionality.
- Optimize Shopify stores for performance, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues and bugs.
- Collaborate with front-end developers and designers to implement new features and enhancements.
- Create and manage complex data workflows, including importing and exporting data from Shopify.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients and team members.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and best practices in Shopify development and e-commerce trends.
Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Shopify development.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Liquid, Shopifys templating language.
- Proficiency in back-end programming languages such as Ruby, PHP, or Node.js.
- Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and other API integration techniques.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
- Familiarity with database management systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
- E-commerce Expertise:
- In-depth understanding of Shopifys architecture and ecosystem.
- Experience with Shopify Plus and its additional features and capabilities.
- Knowledge of payment gateways, shipping integrations, and other e-commerce functionalities.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other e-commerce platforms such as Magento, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce.
- Experience with headless commerce and JAMstack architectures.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Certification in Shopify development.
