Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced ServiceNow ITOM Developer with a strong background in Discovery to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of IT Operations Management (ITOM) solutions, with a focus on Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
Key Responsibilities- Design and Development:
- Design and develop ServiceNow ITOM solutions, including Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
- Customize and configure the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements and enhance IT operations.
- Discovery Implementation:
- Implement and maintain ServiceNow Discovery to ensure accurate and up-to-date configuration management data.
- Develop and configure discovery probes and sensors to automate the detection and mapping of IT infrastructure and applications.
- Service Mapping:
- Implement and maintain Service Mapping to provide an accurate view of business services and their dependencies.
- Work with application owners and SMEs to define service maps and ensure their accuracy.
- Event Management:
- Configure and integrate Event Management to collect and process events from various monitoring tools.
- Implement event correlation rules to reduce noise and improve incident response times.
- Orchestration:
- Develop and maintain workflows to automate IT processes and tasks.
- Integrate orchestration with third-party systems and tools to streamline operations.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within IT operations.
- Implement best practices for ITOM and ensure adherence to industry standards.
- Support and Maintenance:
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for ITOM applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
- Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, user guides, and training materials.
- Conduct training sessions for end-users and administrators on ITOM functionalities and best practices.
Required Qualifications:- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience with ServiceNow development, specifically in ITOM.
- Proven experience with ServiceNow Discovery, including configuring probes and sensors.
- Hands-on experience with Service Mapping, Event Management, and Orchestration.
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, applications, and cloud services.
- Skills:
- Proficient in scripting languages such as JavaScript and Glide.
- Experience with REST/SOAP web services and APIs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (preferred).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist - ITOM (preferred).
- ITIL Foundation Certification (a plus).
