Overview
The ServiceNow Engineer plays a crucial role in the organization by overseeing the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow platform solutions to meet business needs efficiently. This role is essential in ensuring seamless IT service delivery, maintaining optimal performance of the ServiceNow platform, and enhancing overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within ServiceNow platform.
- Design, develop, and customize ServiceNow applications, modules, and workflows based on best practices and industry standards.
- Configure and manage the ServiceNow platform, including core ITSM modules, CMDB, Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, and Change Management.
- Integrate ServiceNow with other third-party systems and applications to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability.
- Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow platform, identifying and resolving technical issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of ServiceNow upgrades and patches, ensuring system stability and security.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and operational procedures.
- Lead and participate in ServiceNow-related projects, following project management methodologies to deliver solutions on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization to ensure the ServiceNow platform operates at peak efficiency.
- Stay updated with the latest ServiceNow features, functionalities, and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications.
- Minimum of X years of experience in ServiceNow platform development, customization, and implementation.
- Proven expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other scripting languages for ServiceNow.
- In-depth knowledge of core ITSM processes, including Incident Management, Problem Management, and Change Management.
- Experience in ServiceNow CMDB configuration and management, ensuring accurate and reliable data for IT operations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in integrating ServiceNow with external systems and applications using web services, REST APIs, and MID Servers.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow architecture, components, and security controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex ServiceNow technical issues.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Project management experience and proficiency with Agile or ITIL methodologies.
- Capability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
