- Lead and manage a team of mechanics and service technicians.
Assign daily tasks and jobs to ensure efficient workflow.- Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, providing feedback and training as necessary.
Conduct daily briefings to discuss service targets, customer expectations, and any other relevant information.
- Oversee the service process from vehicle intake to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate service.
Coordinate with the parts department to ensure the availability of necessary parts and materials.- Inspect work done by technicians to ensure it meets quality standards.
Handle any escalations or issues that arise during the service process.
- Maintain service records and ensure all documentation is accurately completed.
Interact with customers to understand their service needs and ensure their satisfaction.- Address and resolve customer complaints in a professional manner.
Provide updates to customers regarding the status of their vehicle.
- Ensure that all customer interactions are positive and contribute to repeat business.
Manage the inventory of tools, equipment, and materials required for service operations.- Ensure the service area is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Monitor and manage the use of consumables to minimize waste.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on service performance, team productivity, and customer feedback.
Report any issues related to equipment, staff, or customer satisfaction to the Service Manager.- Track service metrics and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
