The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality applications. They will also be responsible for designing and implementing testable and scalable code.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct the development team through the design, development, testing, and debugging processes, but not limited to core setup, workflow administration, reporting, data imports, LDAP integration, custom scripting and third-party software integrations
Work closely with management and other stakeholders to document and shape business requirements and translate those into technical requirements the development team can act on.
Write high-quality code and lead code reviews.
Plan and document technical specifications for future application features or infrastructural systems.
Performs advanced configurations including Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Scripts, Script Includes, Client Scripts, workflows, custom tables, reports, etc.
Accountable for the delivery of Monthly sprints for the development team as well as ensuring bug free delivery.
Design, develop, and implement ServiceNow Service Portals.
Lead the conceptualization, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing features for the existing portfolio of applications for a business area.
Reviews proposed design with all customer and internal stakeholders and leads all technical design meetings.
Coordinate with Platform Architect to ensure designs meet development guidelines and best practices.
Ensures effective communication and coordination of development team activities with process owners and requestors.
Works with Platform and Project Management teams to ensure enhancements are delivered completely, accurately, and timely.
Provides leadership and participates in vetting new requirements on the ServiceNow platform
Stays current on ServiceNow products and applicable integrated technologies.
Drives process improvements and ensures process adherence for the development team.
Use scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality to automate tasks fulfillment in ServiceNow.
Perform integrations and process automation using Service Now Orchestration.
Load, manipulate and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems.
Perform system and integration testing with sample and live data Monitor health, usage and overall compliance of the application.
Collaborate with team members and business users to clarify requirements and confirm design/implementation.
Follow set coding best practices and standards.
Foster a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
Adhere to the system development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
Test and debug team solutions.
Document processes/solutions/fixes in Knowledge Base.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Provide ServiceNow operation support, including promoting, testing, and deploying ServiceNow updates and new releases.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
Minimum Requirements/ Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business Management, Project Management or Management Information Systems or equivalent work experience acceptable
ITIL Foundations V3 certification desired
ServiceNow Administrator Certification
Certified ServiceNow Developer Certification desired
Certified ServiceNow Implementation Specialist Certification desired
Experience with ServiceNow Portal development.
Experience in CMDB, Discovery and integration with other external modules.
Experience with Integrations with 3rd party tools using (web services, SOAP, email, MID, etc).
5-7+ years working in ServiceNow Environment
3+ years in a technical leadership role
3+ years experience developing in: PHP, Java, Python, Ruby, . Net, or Perl.
Scripting (JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, CSS, Jelly) and Rest API experience preferred
3 years of experience working in a similarly complex technical organization
Experience utilizing Agile/SCRUM Methodologies.
Understanding of the systems development life cycle (SDLC) processes.
Ability to translate details into specific tasks needed to accomplish a task or solve a problem
Ability to problem solve and work well in complex, ambiguous situations
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Proven ability to navigate the technology environment and work effectively with multiple groups
