Job Description

  • The person should have enough capability to handle Chromatography systems in terms of Installation, Commissioning, Preventive Maintenace, troubleshoot and root cause finder for an issue and Hardware / Software related knowledge
  • The Technical Support Professional will be responsible for providing expert technical support to customers and field engineering teams for specific products
  • The holder of this position will oversee the provision of technical (hardware / software / process / application) expertise to customers and the field engineering team
  • The goal is to ensure all field technical queries and problems are satisfactorily closed down within the agree customer service levels

Main Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Manage the resolution of all product related problems where solutions do not already exist

  • Maintain accurate configuration control records for the field installed base on the company network

  • Develop performance metrics, and monitor the performance of allocated equipment in the field

  • Build and maintain a product based knowledge database of essential information for allocated products and actively advertise and share this knowledge with appropriate personnel both internally and externally

  • Organize field retrofit and upgrade programs as required to maintain / improve safety or functional specification

  • Develop new services and upgrades around allocated products

  • Assist in the writing / editing of technical manuals for equipment operation and maintenance

  • Review technical documentation on a regular basis

  • Lead relationships with internal groups, providing feedback to product engineering and management on matters relating the field performance

Qualification & Skills:

  • Academic degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or Electronics engineering or Instrumentation & Control engineering or Chemical engineering o

  • Minimum 6 years experience as a field support engineer, machine control engineer, development engineer or technical support engineering covering sophisticated capital equipment

  • Experience in delivering service / user training to groups of various sizes in person

  • Experience of systems used in similar bioprocess applications is highly desirable

  • Effective customer facing skills

  • Accurate technical writing skills

  • Ability to manage meetings effectively

  • Strong, effective communication skills

  • Team player
