Job Description
Service Engineer Responsibilities:
Identify & rectify machine tool faults in a timely manner.
Be responsible for servicing, maintaining, commissioning, installing and providing technical support for a wide range of Machine Tool products.
Have a good understanding and working knowledge of machine tool control systems, in particular: Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain systems.
Have a good understanding of machine tool alignments and geometry.
Laser alignment and Ball bar experience would be beneficial.
Provide our customers with the highest levels of service possible.
Build rapport with colleagues and customers to improve results.
Add value to the services provided and achieve first time fixes, leading to reduced breakdown times and lower cost to customer.
Good understanding of Root Cause Analysis tools.
Have a good knowledge of Health and safety requirements.
Ready to travel occasionally to overseas - Customer site.
Communicating with clients, engineers and other technicians to ensure that services are delivered effectively.
Conducting quality assurance and safety checks on all equipment.
Providing recommendations about new features and product improvements.
Providing recommendation of spare parts for customer when needed.
Document and Report writing on action taken and presenting findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis.
Service Engineer Requirements
A Diploma in relevant field is preferred. [D.M.E., D.E.E., Mechatronics]
A relevant certificate is advantageous.
A valid drivers license and willingness to travel.
A Valid Passport.
Excellent active listening and customer service skills.
The ability to deal with multiple requests without being overwhelmed.
The ability to remain professional under pressure.
Superb work ethic and a growth mindset.
