As a Restaurant Server/Waiter, you play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. You are responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, taking and delivering orders, and ensuring a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. Key Responsibilities
- Guest Service:
- Welcome guests with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Provide menus, answer questions, and make recommendations based on guest preferences and menu offerings.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Order Delivery:
- Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously, following established service standards.
- Monitor and ensure guest satisfaction during the meal, addressing any concerns or requests.
- Clear tables and reset them for the next guests in a timely manner.
- Menu Knowledge:
- Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the menu, including daily specials and promotions.
- Be prepared to explain menu items, ingredients, and preparation methods.
- Offer suggestions for wine and beverage pairings if applicable.
- Upselling and Salesmanship:
- Suggest additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, or beverages, to enhance the dining experience.
- Promote special menu items or promotions effectively.
- Cleanliness and Organization:
- Set up and maintain your designated section, ensuring cleanliness and proper table settings.
- Assist in maintaining overall restaurant cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Billing and Payment:
- Present and explain bills to guests, process payments accurately, and return change promptly.
- Handle guest billing inquiries and issues professionally.
- Teamwork:
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure efficient service.
- Assist fellow servers and team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a server or waiter preferred.
