Responsibilities
- Development and Maintenance: Develop, test, and maintain robust web applications using Django, Wagtail, React, and CSS, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize web performance by improving core web vitals, including Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), First Input Delay (FID), and Cumulative Layout Shift (CLS).
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including design, product management, and back-end developers to define, design, and implement new features.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Code Quality: Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, code quality, and consistency across projects.
- Problem Solving: Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues and bugs.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in web development and performance optimization
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of core web vitals and techniques for performance improvement.
- Tools and Practices:
- Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools is a plus.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is advantageous.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to mentor and lead junior developers.
Experience Requirements
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: At least 4-5 years of experience as a Senior Web Developer or in a similar role.
- Technical Expertise:
- Extensive experience with Django and Wagtail frameworks.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies including React, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
