Responsibilities:
- Collaboration with Design and Development Teams: Work closely with UI/UX designers and software developers to integrate usability principles into the entire product development lifecycle.
- Code Implementation: Translate usability requirements into tangible solutions by implementing front-end code enhancements, interactions, and features that enhance the overall user experience.
- Content Connection: ensure that the front end elements translate correctly from our headless content management system into internal and external portals.
- Code Optimization: Optimize user interfaces for performance and responsiveness, ensuring a seamless experience across various devices and platforms.
- User-Centric Development: Advocate for user-centered design practices, conducting heuristic evaluations, usability testing, and user research to inform and improve the development process.
- Accessibility: Implement and maintain accessibility standards, ensuring that digital products are inclusive and compliant with relevant guidelines.
- Prototype Development: Create interactive prototypes and wireframes to demonstrate proposed design concepts and interactions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on trends within the food & beverage and digital industry, emerging technologies, and coding best practices to drive continuous improvement in usability and user experience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
- 6+ years of proven experience as a front-end developer or similar role with a focus on usability.
- Proficiency in HTML, (S)CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant coding languages such as AngularJS, NodeJS, further NPM Modules, Java (Spring), ABAP (RAP), JSON, YAML.
- Familiarity with usability methodologies and testing tools such as Figma.
- Experience in front end development with headless content management systems (hcms).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills within international teams, with fluent English proficiency.
- Knowledge of design thinking principles and user-centered design.
- Experience with SAP Qualtrics as a central point for designing, implementing and analyzing customer feedback is an advantage.
