Senior UI/UX Designer

Job Title: Senior Design Lead

Location: Bengaluru

Note: This is a full-time position. Candidates should be willing to work from the office or in a hybrid setup as required.

Role Overview:

As the Senior Design Lead, you will lead the design team, inspire new ideas, and ensure the delivery of great designs for the clients. You will help define how the products look and guide the team forward.

Requirements:

UI/UX Design Skills

1. Product design - User Experience Design Skills - Experience working on Complex web applications, mobile applications
2. User Interface Design Skills - Experience working on complex websites, Interaction Design, Illustrations, Micro interactions
3. Graphic design - Logo design using photoshop, illustrator, adobe creative suite
4. Branding - colours, fonts, brand communication, positioning, guidelines, brand name, vision, mission statements
5. Design System - Ability to custom create a design system for any given product / brand.

Technical/Development

1. Moderate to deep understanding of various tech stacks for projects
2. Should be able to suggest tech stacks to clients and provide basic pros/benefits, and cons of each
3. Must be able to work with developers to understand project requirements and create proposals with them

Team Lead

1. Ability to work in a startup environment
2. Experience with handling a small to medium sized team
3. Should be able to train and guide their team members
4. Should be able to properly allocate tasks for each project
5. Clear communication and patience

Project management & leadership Skills

1. Assigning tasks to team members
2. Device timelines during discussions with clients to understand tentative timelines for projects
3. Creating project trackers post discovery calls for clients and internal tracking - adding milestones and allocating designers for each task
4. Exposure to using Asana, Notion, Jira, or any other pm tool

Face time with clients

1. Professional communication with clients - adhere to all meeting related guidelines [keeping camera on, etc.]
2. Patience, professionalism and respect while communicating with new leads/clients
3. Understand requirements clearly and communicate scope of work to clients and to team members
4. No personal bias during discussions with clients

Others

1. Ability to communicate cross functional teams
2. Must adhere to timelines
3. Must be able take over projects and lead it to completion successfully - starting from creating project trackers, adhering to timelines, allocating tasks, regular meetings with clients, build trust and accountability among clients and team members, handle difficult situations with patience and good planning, and bring the project to closure till the final hand off of source files

Qualifications:

• UI/UX design, product design, and graphic design in a leadership role.
• Moderate to strong understanding of various tech stacks and the ability to suggest suitable options for different projects.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Project management and organizational abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
