Provide leadership to the Transmission design engineering team
Expert level knowledge and understanding of electrical transmission lines and facilities
Provide technical leadership in complex projects or processes that have a wide impact on the business
Manage the design and work process between the customer, contractors, utilities, and others involved in the process
Perform Owners Engineering Design review, PLS-CADD Line Design QAQC review, and structure Loading Design review
Work with designers to develop drawing packages to support the design including route plan and profiles, trench cross sections, duct bank designs, cable rating calculations, and construction details
Assist with studies and provide constructability reviews and preparation of project capital and expense estimates
Assist with reviewing the design of medium to high voltage AC and DC OH transmission lines, including circuit rating calculations, NESC/Customer electrical clearance requirements, structure selection, and configuration, structure spotting, major transmission line component selection, foundation design, and cable system construction methods specifications
Perform calculations and prepare technical reports and foundation Engineering Design
Support the documentation of newly constructed Transmission Line facilities
Assist with the management of project correspondence, RFIs coordination and file management
