Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Documentation Specialist to join our Product & Engineering Teams. In this role, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive developer API documentation for Tekion's partner-facing APIs, webhooks, and SDKs. You will collaborate closely with various teams to capture the APIs behavior, test scenarios, use cases, and customer feedback, ensuring our documentation meets Tekion's high standards for quality and accuracy.
Job description:
- You will work closely with the Product & Engineering Teams in creating developer API documentation for Tekion's partner-facing APIs, webhooks, and SDKs.
- You will work closely with development and quality teams to capture the APIs right behavior and various test scenarios.
- You will be working with the Product Managers and solution engineers to capture the various usecases catered to by the APIs and document them using sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, etc
- You will listen to customer (developer) feedback and make corrections and improvements to the documentation.
- You will work with the product marketing team to review all published content to meet the Tekion standards for publishable content.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing/documentation, preferably in a software development environment.
- Strong understanding of API documentation principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Swagger, Postman, or similar.
- Experience with diagramming tools for creating sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, etc.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality documentation.
