Job Responsibilities:
- Write and maintain user documentation for internal and external Software products.
- Ensure timely release of documents in line with scheduled product releases, both for Major and Service Pack releases, along with interim minor releases.
- Attend Software Product release checklist meetings.
- Coordinate closely within team to understand the requirements and priorities, and work to meet the same.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams based at cross-geographical locations.
- Take ownership of all topics/aspects related to Software documentation.
- Proactively monitor priorities and customer commit dates as per the published release schedule.
- Initiate input collection efforts on time and follow up for closure.
- Communicate/escalate any delays/potential risk before they become critical.
- Ensure accuracy of documents within short turnaround times.
- Keep documents up to date with changing customer requirements and technological advancements.
- Ability to manage template updates as required.
Tools:
- Adobe FrameMaker
- Adobe Acrobat
- Proficient with MS-Office tools particularly MS-Word and PowerPoint.
- MS-Visio
- Version control system like Perforce or CVS.
- Working knowledge of basic commands on Linux machine
- Basic coding skills in any programming language.
Qualifications and Experience
- B.Tech./B.E. in Electronics/Software Engineering Or
- Graduate/Post-Graduate in English
- 3 years of similar work experience
