Job Description
The candidate hired for this position will develop and maintain documentation for EDA products used by a highly technical audience, including chip designers and scientists. Responsibilities include:
- Working on one or more products with product teams located across the globe.
- Planning work independently in coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Creating grammatically accurate documentation that is also in perfect alignment with the style guide, templates, and processes.
- Working hands-on on the products being supported and doing the research required to truly understand the domain, technology, and features being documented.
- Participate in and contribute to technical publications initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or Science.
- 2 to 16 years of technical writing experience in a software product development company.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of technical writing principles and processes.
- Ability and inclination to grasp new technology quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to understand customer requirements and address them using suitable documentation strategies.
- Experience working independently, as part of a team, and with overseas development teams; experience communicating with non-native English speakers.
- Ability to make decisions quickly, flexibility to reprioritize on short notice, and ability to foster teamwork.
Desired Skills
- Experience with DITA and Topic-based authoring.
- Working knowledge of UNIX or Linux.
- Experience with electronic design automation (EDA) tools.

- Writing samples are required.
- Shortlisted candidates will need to take a writing test.
