As part of the Product documentation team, you will be responsible for the user documentation as well as the API documentation. Technical writing at Blueshift is a fun and challenging role where the primary requirement is to break down complex topics into simple, consumable articles that:
- Ease the use of our product
- Ease integration of our platform with partnering platforms
- Educate the readers about our world class, industry leading platform features
- Improve the overall user experience of our product
Responsibilities - Work on help documentation for the industry leading SmartHub CDP features aimed at marketers
- Work on documentation aimed at developers
- Timely publish documentation that is aligned with frequent releases
- Work with software engineering, product management, implementation, customer success, and product marketing folks to produce the best help content for clients
- Create multimedia content to enhance the documentation (such as videos and GIFs)
- Own and maintain the documentation portals (help hub, hosted on Zendesk, and developer portal, hosted on readme)
- Tweak the UI of the help hub to keep the portal s user experience up-to-date
- Set up sample Android and iOS app s source code on Android Studio and Xcode, and try to integrate our SDKs with those to better understand how the SDKs work
Requirements - 5+ years of experience of writing help content for technical and non-technical audiences. Longer experience will be a definite plus
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with producing multimedia help content
- Curiosity towards unfamiliar topics
- Openness towards casual and informal writing styles with a focus on consistency
- Strong sense of ownership and readiness to collaborate and work with others
- Knowledge of documenting code
- Ability to Google and use HTML/CSS/JavaScript if needed
- Experience with writing help content for enterprise SaaS products is a plus
- Experience with API documentation is a plus. We use Swagger/Open API specification to document our APIs
- Experience with SDK documentation is a plus
- Experience with Markdown is a plus
- Having a good design sense is a plus
- University degree in the field of Computer Science or related fields preferred.
