We are looking for candidates having hands on troubleshooting experience on Core Linux preferably on Redhat or Oracle Linux.
About The Job :
- This position is for customer support of Oracle Linux and its components.
- The teams primary responsibility is to diagnose, debug and resolve customer reported issues on the Oracle Linux family of products, working in partnership with customers, other support teams and developers.
- The team members continually exercise and grow diverse skills, as they deliver the highest quality support possible to customers. The position requires working on a 24/7 shift pattern on a rotational schedule as well as covering weekends/public holidays.
Required and desired skills include
- Bachelors degree in computer science /Information Technology or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 to 3 years hands-on experience in SQL, Linux and other programming languages.
- Fundamental understanding of IT service management and the ITIL business process.
- Understanding of development methodologies, version control and configuration management.
- Knowledge and experience with database technologies such as Oracle, SQL and JDBC.
