Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer at Luminous Energy Consultancy in Chennai. As a Senior Technical Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as conducting safety assessments, developing safety procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations, and implementing safety initiatives to prevent hazards and incidents.

Qualifications

• Safety Engineering, Risk Assessment, and Safety Procedures development skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Participating in project HAZOP, HAZID, SIL studies, and other safety workshops when required and experience of coordinating HAZOP, HAZID, SIL Classification studies and other HSE workshops
• Able to perform HSE studies such as QRA, FERA, EERA etc, as required
• Able to perform Physical Hazard Effects (PHE) modelling using PHAST (or similar) as required
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant field
