Senior Technical Manager

Role: Sr. Technical Manager

Experience: 15 to 18 Years

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's degree will be plus)

Location: Bengaluru

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead and mentor technical teams to ensure high performance, motivation, and skill development

Define and implement technical strategies aligned with business objectives

Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to deliver projects on schedule and within budget

Drive continuous improvement in processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance team productivity and product quality

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define technical solutions, and prioritize projects.

Monitor industry trends and technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage .

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards

Communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders to provide updates, present proposals, and address issues

Overview of automotive parts (Sensors, Solenoids, Coils, etc.)

Prepare BOM, FMEAs (Design, Process), Control plans and ability to understand customer requirements from customer documents, drawings, etc.

Ability to discuss with technical experts at customers .

Ability to prepare APQP documentation.

SKILLS:

Proven experience in technical leadership roles, with a track record of successful project delivery

Strong technical expertise in development, implementation, and/or engineering disciplines

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills .

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment .

Planning, Effort estimation for deliverables / tasks .

Planning the development activities based on the overall project release plan.

Tracking of deliverables phase-wise to meet targets and defined KPIs.

Ensure adherence to standard development process .

Is able to coordinate with other areas, e.g., Customer Engineering, other Function Development teams, Test infrastructure (V&V), HW, System, Calibration, OEM, etc.

Customer handling and escalation management .

Define roadmap for product development (upgrade the strategy in terms of Process, Methods and Tools) .

Good knowledge in quality improvement initiatives.
