Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role as a Senior Technical Lead at Incedo Inc. in Pune. The Senior Technical Lead will be responsible for overseeing technical projects, providing technical guidance and leadership to development teams, collaborating with stakeholders to define project requirements, and ensuring successful project execution. This role involves hands-on technical work, code review, and mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct testing for various load balancing methods across Layers 4 and 7, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Automate test scripts using Python to streamline testing processes.
- Work extensively with networking protocols (L2-L7), including TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, HTTPS, DNS, and GSLB.
- Develop and execute test strategies for Application Delivery Controllers (ADC) with a focus on Web Application Firewall (WAF) and DNS Application Firewall (DAF) security.
- Implement and manage health monitoring protocols, including ICMP, TCP, UDP, and more.
- Test large-scale systems with a focus on IPv6 migration, NAT, and routing protocols such as IS-IS, OSPF, and BGP.
- Collaborate with cloud and virtualization platforms, including VMware, ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM, and Cockpit, for efficient test environment setups.
- Perform comprehensive software test planning, documentation, stress, performance, and system testing.
Required Skills and Experience
- Networking Protocols: TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6, VLAN, L2/L3 protocols, NAT, VRRP, clustering, and network health monitoring.
- Experience: 8+ years in testing.
- Load Balancing Expertise: Proven experience with L4-L7 load balancing methods, including Round Robin, Least Connections, and Fastest Response.
- Application Security Testing: Experience with WAF, DAF, NG-WAF, SSL/TLS (TLS 1.2, 1.3), SAML, ICAP, Kerberos.
- Traffic Generation Tools: Proficiency in IXIA or similar tools.
- Scripting and Automation: Python scripting for automated testing; experience with Ansible for cloud VM management is a plus.
- Cloud & Virtualization Platforms: Experience with VMware, ESXi, Hyper-V, KVM, and private cloud environments (OpenStack, Nutanix, Azure Stack).
- Operating Systems: Solid experience with Linux or similar OS environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with network security features.
- Familiarity with large-scale distributed systems testing.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of defect tracking and management tools.
