Position title
Senior Technical Engineer
Overview
Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, you will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and supporting Commonwealth's CVW pharmacovigilance products for our customer base. In general, you will perform or lead and direct others to perform a wide variety of complicated tasks that require data management and programming skills, pragmatism, deep knowledge of our products, and knowledge of the pharmacovigilance domain.

Required Qualifications and Skills
Experience in design, development, and operation of ETL applications
Experience in design and implementation of data warehouses.
Expertise in data modelling and tuning SQL query performance
Clinical data management
Drug safety applications
Resourcefulness to analyze unexpected problems and identify practical solutions. A wide degree of creativity and judgement is expected
Software Development Lifecycle
Familiarity with regulatory requirements
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
Excellent written and oral communications skills
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Life Sciences and / or Pharmacovigilance related data sets and standards, e.g., E2B R2 / R3, MedDRA, WhoDrug, GMDN
AWS, and associated proprietary AWS services, e.g., S3, RDS, DMS
Development using Eclipse, Git and Jira in a hybrid Agile methodology
Signal detection and Signal management as practiced in the pharmacovigilance industry
Reporting and BI tools such as Tableau
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science, informatics, or a related field
Minimum of 7 years of full-time experience utilizing several of the required and preferred skills.
