We are looking for a motivated individual to develop, support and lead the execution of the requirements engineering and requirements management activities along with Verification and validation experience on projects in Western Canada.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- To develop and maintain relationships with members of the Rail Systems Practice and the greater Rail & Transit Practice
- Contribute to the development, adoption, and delivery of Requirements Engineering (RE) and Requirements Management (RM) processes and practices.
- Responsible for V&V activities and aligh with project life cycle.
- Lead the Requirements Engineering (RE) and Requirements Management (RM) elements of project bids and project delivery, including interfacing with Design, Project and Systems Engineering teams together with budget development as necessary.
- Develop and maintain Requirements Engineering (RE) and Requirements Management (RM) processes that ensures quality of delivery and currency of Requirements Engineering (RE) practices
- Provide direct Requirements Management (RM) support and insight to each project's management and delivery team.
- Develop and work with key delivery partners and service providers for projects.
- Engage with end clients as and when necessary.
- Write, update, and maintain Requirements Management Plans for new and existing projects.
- Apply lessons learned and advise on necessary corrective actions for ongoing projects.
- Delivery of high quality, verifiable requirements to support all stages of a Project life cycle.
Candidate Specification
- Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering/Science (preferably IT/ Systems Engineering).
- 7 - 10 years progressive experience in Requirements Engineering and/or Quality Assurance and/or Software Design Engineering with significant experience in rail and transit projects.
- Demonstrable strength in a minimum of one of the following:
- Integration and Interface Management
- IEC 15288: 2015
- Requirements Management
- Experience with DOORS Next is desirable.
- INCOSE ASEP or CSEP certification is desirable.
- RAMS experience is desireable.
- Good communication skills and English fluency.
- Good interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi- disciplined team.
- Able to hold competent technical discussions with Client representatives
- Able to interface with domain specialists, design managers and construction project managers, in a competent professional manner.
- Broad experience of delivery within major infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of railway systems and / or operation within infrastructure projects / technology development and implementation projects.
