Job Purpose. We are looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer with a background in the implementation and operational support of an Application Service Provider style environment.

As part of the team, youll be working with a variety of products from the likes of VMware, Windows, Linux, Citrix, Cloud Endure, and AWS, plus a mix of technologies to help deliver our mission statement. What You Will Do. Design and Architect: Develop and implement comprehensive infrastructure solutions across Compute, Network, Storage, with a strong focus on VMware NSX for network virtualization and security.
Infrastructure Monitoring: Utilize VMware vRealize / Aria Operations to monitor core infrastructure and systems, proactively addressing alerts, optimizing performance, and preventing outages. High Availability: Ensure a secure and highly available environment (99.9% uptime) for our customers using VMware Aria and vRealize Suite for automation, monitoring, and optimization. 24x7 On-Call Rotation: Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation, leveraging VMware Aria to automate routine tasks and streamline incident response.
Issue Resolution: Exercise independent judgment to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues, particularly within VMware environments. Escalated Support: Assist with escalated system issues, focusing on VMware NSX and related virtualized infrastructure. System Documentation: Maintain, review, and continuously improve system documentation, with an emphasis on VMware Aria configurations and operations. IT Systems Point of Contact: Act as the primary point of contact for queries related to our IT systems, including those involving VMware NSX, Aria, and vRealize Operations.
What To Bring. Certifications: Preferred: VMware VCAP or VMware VCP-NV or greater/. Nice to Have: Cisco Data Center Certificates. VMware Expertise: Extensive experience with VMware NSX, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
Extensive experience with VMware vRealize and Aria operations. Proven experience managing large VMware environments with 5000+ VMs, 250+ Hosts, utilizing VMware NSX for Microsegmentation and networking as well Aria and vRealize Operations for monitoring and optimization. Proficient in patching, deploying, and maintaining VMware environments, ensuring peak performance through vRealize Operations insights. Technical Skills: Experience with Cisco UCS Tech Stack and Dell Servers.
Expertise in Storage Providers (HPE Nimble, Netapp, PURE), Storage Networking, including iSCSI and Fibre Channel. Hands-on experience with backups and disaster recovery strategies within VMware ecosystems. Proficiency with VMware ESX 8.0+ and the Microsoft Server ecosystem (2008-2019), including AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, CA, DFSR, and other services.
Experience in managing and responding to alerts using tools like SolarWinds, vSphere, PRTG, and vRealize Operations. Nice To Have. Linux Experience. Citrix Experience.
Hyper-V Experience. Additional Details. Initial Hours of operation: 4AM CT to 1PM CT (2:30PM IST to 11:30PM IST). (2:30AM IST to 11:30AM IST) depending on work requirements.
