JOB SUMMARY
This role works closely with stakeholders to oversee IT assets throughout their lifecycle, offering strategic planning and informed decision-making. This role involves analyzing processes, maintaining tools, building relationships, implementing quality control measures, managing records, providing support, and tracking IT asset movement. Additionally, the analyst monitors IT Asset Management (ITAM) improvement plans and optimizes IT asset expenditures.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provide recommendation to management on Technology Asset strategic planning and decision-making related to IT Technology investments
- Work with stakeholders to gain approval of the ITAM strategy
- Analyze, develop, deploy, and maintain processes, policies, standards, and measurements as part of the daily operational asset management activities and long-term IT asset portfolio and ensure compliance with IT Asset Policy
- Review, develop, enhance, and maintain tools (such as Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and IT discovery tools) to support IT Asset Management System requirements.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with stakeholders, IT vendors and suppliers to effectively manage the end-to-end life cycle of hardware and software assets
- Implement quality control measures to manage and audit the lifecycle of all IT assets by developing operating procedures to track EPF's IT assets
- Manage and maintain IT asset records and databases containing information regarding license, warranties and service agreement for the organization's hardware and software
- Provide a consolidated information/report related to EPF's IT asset
- Provide support, advise and recommendation on IT asset related matters to stakeholders
- Manage IT asset registration in EPF environment.
- Monitor IT asset movement in EPF environment.
- Conduct periodic IT asset reconciliation for hardware and software.
- Perform other duties as directed by Management from time to time.
- Manage, monitor ITAM improvement plan.
- Re-engineer current IT Asset Processes for continuous improvement.
- Implement a continuous improvement strategy to optimize IT asset expenditures.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Malaysian citizen.
- Pass Malay Language including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
- Possess a Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or an equivalent field recognized by the Government, from an accredited higher learning institution.
- Possess IAITAM certification (or an equivalent ITAM certification) will be an added advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT asset management (hardware and software) or a related field, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Solid understanding of IT asset components, including both hardware and software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with proficiency in IT asset management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address asset management challenges.
- Strong understanding of license administration, server management, and system logical.
- Patience and the ability to perform well under pressure.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Detail-oriented, self-organized, and strong time management abilities.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks and being self-motivated.
- Proficient in standard software such as Excel for data analysis, Word for reporting, and PowerPoint for presentations.
- Skilled in enhancing and developing new processes.
