Position Overview:
As an
Sr. SysOps Engineer - Reliability you will work as part of an established and highly experienced team of engineers to deliver cutting edge solutions. The Reliability Engineering function spans across the entire company meaning you'll be able to work with multiple teams across various products and platforms to ensure their software features are reliable for the build and launch & Operational teams.. You'll be joining a vital team as you'll help the team move into a new phase; transitioning from a reactive and operational function towards building a platform with high reliability of systems and software. Roles and Responsibilities:
- Validating and contributing to the Infra architecture and non-functional requirements, ensuring they fit into a cohesive vision aligned with the rest of the Technology roadmap of the platform for launch.
- Responsible for ensuring alignment with Platform Development and Platform SRE and delivering value which helps Platform run reliable services quicker.
- Ensuring that technology choices help best meet the needs of the business.
- Run common infrastructure best practices focused on security, operational efficiency & cost efficiency that'll help the rest of the business deliver value.
- Have a good understanding of CICD pipelines (GitLab) to enable faster build with quality , security automated.
- Experience in enabling world class observability embedded in the platform for world class MTTD/MTTR
- Experience building & deploying multi cloud IAC using Ansible in an AWS/ GCP/Azure Cloud based environment
- Very good knowledge of Linux EC2 / GCP CE and cloud networking.
- Solid Microservices based architecture knowledge
- Very good understanding of Kubernetes and Docker

- Capable of managing multiple tasks concurrently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

- Strong problem analysis skills to include the use of mathematical concepts to validate results.
Must Have Skills:
- 10+ years of experience or exposure to DevOps and SRE
- Understanding of hardware and software considerations
- Networking Skills: Administer firewalls, load balancers, IPsec-related items, and have a firm grasp of network fundamentals is mandatory
- Excellent knowledge in Containerization and Kubernetes.
- Good Exposure to Cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) is expected.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work in a fast paced and rapidly changing dynamic environment.
- Experience of application workload analysis and creating a workload profile of the application for performance testing
- Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu), IAM tools, DNS
- Strong knowledge of vulnerability remediation on Linux platform
- Working knowledge of remote VPN setups and troubleshooting is required.
- Experience in implementing CI/CD strategies on Gitlab with zero downtime.
- Working knowledge of Ansible is required
- Knowledge of IaC tools required and Terraform / Terragrunt is a plus
- Knowledge of database deployments tools like Liquibase is a plus
- Experience of Capacity Planning with approaches used in Projects.
- CKA/CKAD/CKS or any other relevant cloud certification(s) is a plus
Good to Have:
- CKA/CKAD/CKS or any other relevant cloud certification(s) is a plus
- Linux certification (RHEL or Ubuntu-based certification)
- Network certification (CCNA)
- Cloud platform certifications (AWS, GCP )
- Experience in Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence, OpsGenie etc.)
- Knowledge or experience in DevOps, Automation or Hybrid Environment.
Qualification:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent technical training and professional work experience.
