Job Description
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Works with suppliers to ensure that products/service meet the desired industrial quality standards and product requirements.
- Sets Quality targets, monitors, reviews, analyzes supplier performance metrics to determine continuous improvement opportunities with suppliers on Quality but not limited to Process, Cost, and Productivity.
- Coordinates with suppliers for quality performance improvement for in-process, outgoing, and customer return quality.
- Manages Supplier Corrective Actions Requests (SCAR) from issuance until closures and ensures effectiveness of root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinates and communicates with internal functions on quality issues, which may impact delivery and reliability of products as well as customer satisfaction, until closure.
- Works with commodity team to perform supplier risk assessment and risk mitigation for critical suppliers.
- Plans and organizes supplier audits utilizing Emerson Supplier Audit Checklist (ESAC) and Product audit) to ensure that products, processes, and quality systems as well as cyber security assessment at suppliers are well controlled and conformed to the standards, specification, and quality requirements.
- Supports third party audits at supplier sites as required.
- Supports new supplier, part, and software qualification.
- Supports new product launches and risk mitigation projects to ensure that suppliers can deliver products/service at the required quality standards.
- Develops and implements a comprehensive vendor quality strategy and roadmap aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to define quality standards, processes, and methodologies.
- Identifies and prioritizes Quality Assurance activities based on project requirements, risks, and constraints.
- Remains up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality assurance.
Who You Are:
Utilizes engineering knowledge and experience to effectively perform job functions
- Knowledgeable of Quality systems and standards, minimum ISO9001
- Experience leading quality audits.
For This Role, You Will Need:
- Plans, organizes, and conducts audits at supplier locations.
- Understands and able to review the effectiveness of root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions.
- Able to communicate at all levels within the organisation and suppliers.
- Multi-tasking and cross-functional knowledges in achieving TQM goals (Customer Satisfaction and Company Profitability).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skill including QC, SPC, and statistical tools.
- Preferable to have process knowledges in some specific areas Plastic moulding, metal works, cable harnesses, system integration. It is a plus point with additional experiences in printed circuit electronics assembly processes.
- Good English communication and liaison skills.
Understands TQM concepts (Total Quality Management) and keens to learn new things.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, IT or relevant engineering fields) preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in supplier quality and management of with demonstrated abilities on Quality and process improvements.
