Position: Senior Structural Engineer (Software)
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience
Job location: Pune
Minimum Requirement:
- MSc or higher within Naval Architect, Maritime Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Civil Engineer, Structural Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or similar.
- 10 years of engineering experience in maritime, offshore or renewable engineering.
- Knowledge of code-checking of frame or plate type structures according to standards like Eurocode, ISO, DNV, API.
- Familiar with CAE tools preferably with knowledge of finite element methods and hydrodynamics
- Preferably some years of experience with professional software development
- Experience with programming languages, frameworks, and tools for both desktop and cloud, such as C#, C++, Fortran, Python
- Experience with CI/CD.
Main responsibilities:
- Development of Sesam strength assessment tools to support standards like Eurocode, ISO, DNV, API covering both frame and plate-type structures
- Development of our Sesam finite element solvers used for strength assessment of maritime, offshore and renewable structures.
- Together with the Strength Assessment team, responsible for enhancing and renewing the architecture of the Sesam strength assessment modules
- Contribute to analysing and improving computational performance
- Contribute to cloud-enabling our large collection of analysis software
- Contribute to improving the performance and user experience of OWT workflows
- Contribute to improving our automated build and test systems
