Key Role Responsibilities
As our
Senior Structural Engineer, you'll lead the analysis, design, and verification of offshore and onshore structures, ensuring technical quality and alignment with ABL standards. You'll collaborate across teams, liaise with clients for successful project delivery, and uphold high standards in all engineering deliverables. In addition, you will:
- Engineering review of loadout, transportation and installation of jackets, decks, pipelines, subsea structures etc.
- Analysis, design and verification of offshore and onshore structures as per code specification
- Preparation and checking of calculation notes for the analyses and checking of structural drawings
- Coordinating with inter disciplines & outsourced vendors for ensuring technical quality of deliverables
- Ensure all deliverables is carried out in accordance with ABL Group policies and procedures
- Participate in design reviews and audits
- Liaise with clients to ensure project completion and customer satisfaction
- Other duties as assigned.
This role is based in
Mumbai, India. The candidate must have ethe right to live and work in India. Requirement for onsite/offshore attendance for marine operations and time with clients.
Qualifications & Experience Required
To thrive in this role, you'll bring your expertise in managing large-scale offshore projects, backed by an Engineering background and a passion for leading teams. You'll be instrumental in ensuring high-quality results are delivered on time and within budget, making a significant impact on the success of our projects. In addition, you:
- Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering.
- 7+ years professional experience and relevant expertise with onshore, offshore fixed and mobile structures.
- In depth knowledge of industry standards and codes and the ability to apply standards to structural analysis / designs and MWS reviews.
- Knowledge of offshore engineering analysis and design computer programs.
- Expertise in Loadout, Transportation and installation engineering.
- Understanding of classification societies rules and regulations.
- Experience of SACS & STAAD Pro software.
- Able to perform & review pre-service and in-service analysis of offshore structures.
- Attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy.
- Proactive and ability to show initiative in problem solving.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable:
- Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
- Proven experience leading teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Strong project management skills and ability to build effective commercial relationships with clients.
- Extensive experience with large-scale offshore oil and gas construction projects.
- Skilled in field and design aspects of marine operations, including loadout, transportation, and installation of jackets, topsides, pipelines, and subsea structures.
- Results-driven, client-focused, with strong business acumen and interpersonal influence.
