Job Summary
The Senior Storage Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of enterprise storage solutions to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. This role requires a deep understanding of storage technologies, backup and recovery solutions, and data management strategies. The Senior Storage Engineer works closely with other IT teams to support the organization's storage needs and ensures data availability and protection.
Essential Job Functions
- Design and implement storage solutions that meet the organization's needs for capacity, performance, and data protection.
- Develop and maintain storage architecture documentation and procedures.
- Install, configure, and maintain storage systems, including SAN, NAS, and Cloud environments.
- Monitor storage performance and capacity and perform tuning to ensure optimal performance. Conduct regular performance assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Develop and implement data backup and recovery strategies. Manage and maintain backup solutions, ensuring data integrity and availability.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for storage-related issues. Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex storage and data issues.
- Lead or participate in storage-related projects, ensuring timely and successful completion. Collaborate with project teams to integrate storage solutions into broader IT initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years experience with storage systems and backup technologies
