As a Senior Staff Engineer at TJX, you will work with a team that partners with the analytics product management team and delivers products for one or more key business domains, including Stores & Selling, Corporate Finance, Merchandising, and Product Safety teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with key stakeholders & IT leaders across all levels to drive solutions to meet business needs
• Design, create, improve, and modify data integration, data management and data visualization applications, project modules, and other software solutions within the Data and Analytics technical domain.
• Analyse business users needs to develop and implement ETL solutions using tools like Talend and/or IBM DataStage.
• Perform application tuning and optimization to enhance data warehousing, analytics, and BI applications.
• Leveraging extensive knowledge of data warehousing, data modelling, DevOps and CI/CD, API integration, big data, and cloud computing platforms such as Azure.
• Implement ETL solutions on Azure, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) and Azure Databricks for data processing.
• Utilize programming languages like Python, SQL, Unix Shell scripting, stored procedures, and Scala to build robust data solutions.
• Work as a lead team member under minimum guidance, employing DevOps tools like Jenkins and GitHub for streamlined software delivery, and collaborate within Agile teams to ensure successful project outcomes.

What You will Need (Minimum Qualifications):

• 8+ years of Engineering experience in Data and Analytics technical domain.
• 5+ years of ETL tool experience Talend, DataStage, or Informatica.
• 5+ years of data modelling experience with tool like ERWIN and data profiling and analysis.
• 5+ years Programming and Scripting experience using SQL, Stored Procedures.
• 5+ years of experience with Snowflake or Netezza or Oracle databases.
• 3+ years of experience in Cloud Platforms (Azure, Snowflake), Cloud Data Processing (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Databricks, Snowpark).
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps - CI/CD, Automation, DevOps Tools (Jenkins, JFrog, GitHub, Control-M).
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work up and down within the organization to influence others and achieve results

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior retail analytics experience
• Experience with a matrixed management organization
• Strong knowledge of the solution delivery lifecycle including project management, business requirements, application development, testing, technologies/platforms, agile development methodologies, use of product team structures, and/or other applicable methodologies.
• Experience with SaaS solutions, cloud technologies & public cloud platform is strongly desired (i.e. Workday, FiveTran, etc.)
• SAFe certification or experience in Agile, Scrum Frameworks
• Data Warehousing & Data Modelling, Data Integration, ETL Development, Data Visualization, Power BI
• Unix Shell Scripting
• API Platforms (Apigee, MoveIT Automation)
• Data Quality using ICEDQ, TOSCA
